What is a Language Coach?

A language coach is just like a sporting coach.  A sporting coach pushes an athlete to achieve optimum performance. They provide support when success eludes them, and encouragement when needed. Most importantly, they impart new skills to improve their performance. A sporting coach will make you practice more than you would like. A sporting coach will tell it like it is. And a sporting coach will listen to your point of view.

The role of an IELTS language coach is to coach people to improve their language skills through guidance, support and encouragement.  Your coach will push you to overcome the special challenges of the IELTS listening module; strengthen your reading and writing skills; handle the IELTS speaking module with confidence and ease; master the support skills which influence your IELTS scores; and introduce you to selected vocabulary and expressions that will upgrade your scores.

Your coach will help you learn the right vocabulary needed to clear your IELTS test. Vocabulary is 25% of your score in IELTS speaking and writing, and spelling is important too.  Your coach will introduce you to important word families, show you how to look out for key synonyms used in texts, and show you some of the problems with singular and plural nouns.  Your coach will help and guide you in every possible way to achieve your desired score/ band.
